In June of 2007 we purchased our very first home. At the time, the housing market was at its peak and we were certain we'd never be able to purchase a home in California. The property we bought is in Boise, ID (Meridian) and its purpose is strictly investment. It has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a HUGE backyard, it backs up to a park, and it's positioned at the end of a small cul-de-sac. It is currently a rental property and we plan to sell in the next few years.
